| Course content |
|
The course deals with applications of geospatial technologies in various areas of socio-economic geography. Emphasis is placed on spatial analysis, digital socioeconomic data and their use in the geography of population, settlement, transport and geomarketing. The exercises are solved by means of teamwork, which for various topics addressed include the collection, analysis, visualization and interpretation of results. Course syllabus : 1. Data sources for Urban applications, Smart City 2. Optimization of transport accessibility and serviceability using GIT - principles, solutions, examples 3. Network Analysis, Dynamic segmentation and linear referencing 4. Logistics, integrated transport system, AVL systems 5. Geomarketing and analysis of business activities (spatial economy, location and allocation analysis)SWOT analysis in SE 6. Analysis, modelling and prediction in urban planning (SWOT anlalysis) 7. Spatial structures of cities and regions 8. Urban models and modeling (What if?, Urban Planner, UrbanSIM ,DUEM ,LADSS ,etc.)

The aim of the course is to explain the problems of GI in urban applications.
Define the main ideas and conceptions of the subject, describe the main approaches of the studied topics, recall the theoretical knowledge for solution of model problems. |
