        Course content
     | 
    
        The subject is dedicated to the fundamentals of demograpy as a field of science. The subject and object of study of the discipline are introduced, followed by a description of the historical development of demography. Students will get acquainted with a comprehensive set of knowledge covering the following topics: relevant methods of demographic research, types of demographic data and their usability, population dynamics (natality, fertility, mortality, migration) and basic methods of its assessment, the basics of population projections.
