Frequency processing of a statistical file, determination of the number of intervals for interval distribution of frequencies 4. PivotTables (second level classification) 5. Basic statistical characteristics - characteristics of position (levels) 6. Basic statistical characteristics - characteristics of variability 7. Introduction to probability theory 8. Theoretical frequency distributions - normal and normalized normal distributions 9. Introduction to the theory of dependencies 10. Dependencies of nominal and ordinal signs 11. Dependencies of cardinal features - Pearson's correlation coefficient.

                The course is designed as an introductory introduction to statistical methods used in geography. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the basics of statistical methods and their application to a real dataset in the MS Excel environment.
