        The course consists of two sequential blocks: 1. The Position and significance of the local region in geography education: This block addresses the role of the local region within the national curriculum framework and individual school educational programs, as well as the current state of teaching the local region in primary and secondary schools. It also explores the potential and importance of the local region for developing geographical thinking and the application of the powerful knowledge concept in its instruction. 2. Practical preparation, discussion, and reflection: This section focuses on the practical preparation, discussion, and reflection of a selected topic related to teaching about the local region.
