Kinematics of a point of mass. Dynamics of a point of mass. Mechanics of a system of mass points. mechanics of a rigid body. Gravitational field. mechanics of liquids. Vibration and waves. Acoustics. List of laboratory tasks for the physical practicum (mechanics, oscillations and waves, acoustics) <br> <br> 1st week: compulsory safety training <br> <br> Laboratory tasks of the 1st cycle: <br> <ul> <li> Measurement of the density of the solids by (a) direct method, (b) hydrostatic method and (c) pyctometer Measurement of the density of the liquids by (a) submersible body and (b) connected vessels <li> Measurement of the moment of inertia by (a) direct method, (b) from swing time and by (c) additional body <li> Coupled pendulums - measurement on coupled pendulums by SCOPE WIN computer programme <li> Measurement of the shear modulus by (a) static method and (b) dynamic method <li> Basic acoustic measurements by Kundt tube and cylindrical resonator, examination of musical acoustics by ISES system </ul> <br> Laboratory tasks of the 2nd cycle: <br> <ul> <li> Mechanical hysteresis: (a) measurement of the hysteresis loop, (b) determination of elastic modulus of various materials from the torsion of the rods <li> Measurement on mathematical pendulum: (a) determination of dependence of T on l, determination of dependence of T on ?, (c) determination of g from the swing time Basic measurements and evaluation of oscillations of mathematical pendulum by ISES system Study of damped oscillations <li> Measurement of gravitational acceleration by reverse pendulum, dependence of oscillation time of physical pendulum on g - Mach pendulum <li> Verification of the relation for the oscillation time of a mass suspended on a spring </ul>
