The aim of the seminar is to familiarize newly enrolled students with the structure of the Department of Biotechnology and with studying at the Faculty of Science, Palacký University Olomouc. Another objective is to introduce the Bachelor's degree programme in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, with an emphasis on key courses, and to explain the university's credit system. The seminar will also present the individual departments and research units within the Faculty of Science and the Holice campus, encourage students to make a preliminary choice of their future specialization, and introduce them to potential career opportunities through presentations by alumni.
Clear information about the functioning of the Department of Biotechnology, the UP credit system, and the possibilities of enrolling in courses outside the faculty, as well as information on whom to contact within the Department of Biotechnology in case of student-related issues.
