Course content

Overview of the protected animal species in Czech Republic. Basic biological and ecological characteristics of these species, endangering factors, conservation status, management and special methods focused on selected species.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Knowledge - Identify endangered and protected animal species, their biology, ecology and the reasons for their risk - Describe the methods used in species protection and its effectiveness - Describe the current state of species protection and its future prospects - Analyze the problems of protection of species interactions and conflicts between the interests of the society
