Course content

Students prepare oral presentations on current important articles in scientific journals (Czech or foreign), which are accompanied by a moderated discussion.

Learning outcomes
|
The seminar is focused on introducing students with the research topics in the field of bioinorganic chemistry (both at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science UP, as well as at other institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad), furthermore, the seminar is devoted to the latest trends and knowledge from other fields such as inorganic, physical, analytical or organic chemistry. Oral presentations are being prepared on current important articles in professional journals (Czech or foreign), which are accompanied by a moderated discussion.
Apply knowledge of chemistry to understand a scientific text (especially an article).

Prerequisites

Knowledge of general and inorganic chemistry.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
The student has to attend all seminars and refer requested number of oral presentations. Furthermore, the ability to understand a scientific article and its subsequent presentation and explanation to the audience.
