Course content
" didactics of general and special chemistry " education and pedagogical aims of chemistry teaching, general standard " didactic principles in chemistry, teaching plans according Framework program for primary and secondary schools " forms of chemistry teaching, application methods, experiments for teachers and students " material and didactic instruments, communication technologies (ICT, PC, Internet) " projection teaching, handling the talented students in chemistry " safety rules in chemistry, teacher's preparation of chemistry lesson " formation of education plans (people and nature, cross-sectional themes) " creation process in chemistry teaching " general chemistry in didactics; choice of experiments " inorganic chemistry in didactics; choice of experiments " organic chemistry in didactics; choice of experiments " school-leaving exam, requirements, chemistry literacy of school leavers " chemistry and society; signification and usage of chemistry in everyday life

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
The lecture is designed for students of teaching qualifications in the first and second semester. Methods and procedures of chemistry teaching for basic and secondary schools are described. Seminar: Methods and procedures of chemistry teaching of concrete subject matter for basic and secondary schools are applied.

Prerequisites
Successfully completed basic chemistry, pedagogy and school didactics courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

The students must attend 100% of seminars, report appropriate theme and group project. Exam consists of four questions (chemical calculations, general and special didactics, basic terms explanation) - at least three questions must be fulfilled.
