Course content
Methods of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis with focus on understanding the basic processes on which the analysis is based. Influence of secondary equilibria and their use in chemical analysis, demonstration of calculations on examples of complex formation, precipitation. Influencing the analysis process by changing experimental conditions (non-aqueous media at alkalimetry and acidimetry, pH effect of complexometric titrations - formation of complex of the cation with titration agent, indication of equivalence point by metalochromic indicator). Design and analysis of selected analytical tasks (examples of masking and specific reactions in qualitative analysis, volumetric analysis of mixtures). Interpretation of results, analytical practice. The seminar deepens the knowledge gained in the course AC1.
