Course content
Analysis of organic compounds Sampling, sample characterization, sample preparation. Physical properties and constants for identification of organic compounds and their relation to the structure of the compounds. Instrumental methods in analysis of organic compounds - spectral methods, separation methods, electrochemical methods, utilization of instrumental methods for identification of organic compounds, methods of quantitative determination, interpretation of results. Elemental analysis. Proofs of functional groups, determination of functional groups, chemical methods for determination of functional groups, chemical methods for identification of organic compounds.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to repeat and exemplary demonstrate possibilities of analysis of organic compounds.
Interpret experimental data, interpret chemical reactivity, associate information, solve problems, applied knowledge, propose and identify structure of the substances on the basis of spectral data and chemical reactivity
Prerequisites
The knowledge of basics of organic and analytical chemistry as well as basics of organic analysis is recommended.
