Course content
Elemental analysis (determination of sulphur, halogenes,...), determination of unsaturated bonds, analysis of fatty acids in natural lipids, determination of esters of carboxylic acids, gas chromatographic identification of hydrocarbons using retention indices, identification of volatile organic compounds by postcolumn derivatization of the functional group after gas chromatographic separation, gas chromatographic determination of pesticides in soils using supercritical fluid extraction, gas chromatographic determination of triazines in water using solid phase extraction, GC/MS identification of organic compounds, HPLC/MS and HPLC/MS/MS identification of organic compounds, determination of aminoacid sequence in peptides using MSn, determination of primary and secondary amines in mixture, determination of phenols in water, kinetic differentiation analysis, determination of methoxy and ethoxy groups according to Vieböck and Swappach procedure, determination of pharmaceuticals by capillary electrophoresis, determination of free epoxide groups by differential infrared spectrometry.

The aim of this exercises is to practice various tasks from the field of analytical chemistry.
Apply and practice the analytical procedures using instrumental methods
Prerequisites
The knowledge of basics of analytical chemistry and instrumental methods of analytical chemistry is recommended.
