Course content
Qualitative analysis of organic compounds, melting point, boiling point, refractive index, elemental analysis, chemical reactivity, chemical tests for functional groups, thin layer chromatography, spectral identification of organic substances, application of instrumental methods. Quantitative analysis of organic compounds, titrations in non-aqueous media, determination of functional groups, determination of hydroxy compounds, determination of esters, determination of primary and secondary amines in mixtures.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide practical introduction to selected methods of classical analysis of organic compounds.
Apply fundamental analytical procedures for analysis of organic compounds, propose and realize analytical procedures and strategies, interpret experimental data, discuss and draw conclusions.
