        Course content
     | 
    
        Analytical reactions of inorganic cations in characteristic groups; Selective reactions of cations; Analytical reactions of inorganic anions in characteristic groups; Selective reactions of anions; Analysis of mixtures of cations and anions; Proof of a hetero-atom in organic compounds; Basic operations and calculations in quantitative chemical analysis; Gravimetric determination of Fe3+, Ag+, Ba2+, Al3+, Ni2+, Cl-, SO42-, PO43-; Volumetric titrations: neutralization, complexometric, precipitating, redox (manganometry and iodometry); Ion exchange chromatography, Determination of the total sodium content (alkalimetry), Separation and chelatometric determination of  Cu and Zn; UV/VIS spectrophotometry, Determination of Mn after oxidation using a periodate, Determination of Fe as thiocanate complex; Determination of Ni using biacetyldioxime in the presence of oxidation agent; Coulommetry and electrogravimetry (determination of Cu); Thin layer chromatography (identification of phenols in mixture). Demonstration of other instrumental techniques (AAS, IR, GC, HPLC, CE, ITP, polarography, combined techniques - HPLC/MS, GC/MS). Analysis of real samples: determination of Fe, Ca, Ni using different techniques.

                 For passing  the subject student has to fulfill the condition of 100% attendance in the lectures, make all the requested analytical work in correct way and elaborate suitable laboratory protocols.
