Course content
Attention will be paid above all to these thematic areas: 1. Administrative justice - concept, models, brief historical excursion 2. Organization of administrative justice, jurisdiction of the administrative judiciary 3. Proceedings before the administrative courts (general regulation) 4. Action against the decision of the administrative body 5. Action against the decision -proceedings 6. Action against the inaction of an administrative body 7. Action against unlawful interference by an administrative authority 8. Judiciary in electoral matters and in local and regional referendum cases, proceedings in political affairs 9. Competence disputes 10. Proceedings for the annulment of measures of a general nature. 11. Remedies in the administrative judiciary. 12. Constitutional justice in connection with the exercise of administrative justice

Learning outcomes
The subject deals with the Institute of Administrative Justice, which represents one of the most important guarantees of legality in public administration. Its main purpose is to familiarize with the essence, purpose and functions of the administrative judiciary in general in relation to the statutory performance of public administration as such, as well as to the protection of public subjective rights. The main attention is paid to the legal regulation of administrative justice in the Czech Republic, both from the point of view of organization, as well as of the jurisdiction of administrative courts, ie of individual types of proceedings.
Upon completion of the course the student acquires knowledge of the basic concepts and institutes of administrative justice, as well as of individual types of proceedings before administrative courts and their course. At the same time the student thanks practically seminar lessons will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge in practice. He will be able to properly interpret and apply relevant legislation, as well as key case law. At the same time, he will be able to identify the right court remedy for the protection of subjective rights and the order of its application.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of any other course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Written exam

Written form of continuous validation of study results: theoretical verification knowledge of the student in the form of continuous theoretical tests, verification of ability of practical application of acquired knowledge in the form of a solution of a written test concentrated on solution of cases. Furthermore, the obligatory attendance at the seminar is appropriate, requirements arising from the UP's internal regulations. Final examination of knowledge of the subject matter by oral exam.
