Course content
The themes of courses: 1. The administration of the culture as a field of public administration 2. The organization of public administration in the framework of protection of cultural monuments 3. The state monuments preservation 4. The owner of cultural monument - rights and duties 5. Special protection of national cultural monuments 6. The regulation of the trade with objects of cultural value

Learning outcomes
The protection of cultural monuments is incorporated into cultural administration. The schooling is stressed on administrative activities and on organization of public administration within the framework of protection of cultural monuments. There is particularly analyzed the care of historical monuments, its institutional ensuring, and also the role of municipalities and districts in the field of protection and administration of cultural monuments. There are specified duties of owner of cultural monument including restoration and renovation of cultural monument and in the field of rights of owner - its expropriation. There is presented also special protection of national cultural monuments and monuments included in the List of world heritage UNESCO and membership of CR in ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites). Then, there is stress given on regulation of the trade with objects of cultural value and on the protection of museum collections. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge of legal regulation of protection of cultural monuments.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of any other course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

It is essential that those students who would like to pass the course must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and succeed in the colloquium. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
