Course content
The themes of lectures: 1. The introduction to administrative sentencing 2. - 3. The fundamentals 4. The administrative liability 5. The administrative delict - characteristics and categorization 6. The liability of infraction and components of merits 7. Sanctions imposed for infractions 8. - 9. Procedure of imposing the sanction 10. The delicts of legal persons and undertakers 11. - 12. Learning outcomes
Many public authorities have the powers to impose a penalties; though imposing such penalties constitutes significant interference with the rights and freedoms of individuals. The aim of this course is to provide deeper understanding of administrative sentencing and to enable orientation for students in this field. At the beginning, there is defined a legal framework of administrative sentencing, basic notions and a significance of administrative sentencing in comparison with other forms of sentencing. Then, there is given characteristics of fundamentals, the administrative liability, as one form of the legal liability, the notion of administrative penalty. The stress is given on the liability of infraction. Following lectures are devoted to procedural adjustment of imposing the infraction. Then, there is an explanation of delicts of natural and legal persons regardless of fault. The closing theme is a breach of discipline and administrative disciplinary delicts. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for the orientation in the system of administrative punishing. The course provides the students with capability to consider individuals' rights and duties and to conduct the procedure in the position of administrative authority or to defend client's rights in the position of an attorney.
Prerequisites
The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

Mark

It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in the exam. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
