Course content
|
1. Introduction to police administration, history of the police administration, the term "police", position of police force within the system of police administration. 2. Position of the Police of the Czech Republic within public administration and its tasks. 3. Obligations and rights of the member of state police force. Use of corrective measures by police officers. 4. Internal organisation of Police of the Czech Republic. Service function of police officer. 5. Position of municipal police and its functions. 6. Obligations and rights of municipal police officers, use of measures of enforcement. Relation of the Police of the Czech Republic with respect to municipal authorities and to municipal police body.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the role and the role of police and municipal police in a democratic legal state. The course will define the legal framework, police management, will explain the concepts of public order and police. Furthermore, attention will be paid to the position of Police in the organization of public administration in the Czech Republic, with its mission and functions. It will be discussed in greater responsibilities and authority of police officers on duty and off duty. It will be given a list of legal coercion and will also explain the legal principles governing their use. The course will also clarify the internal organization and the position of Police of the Police of the Czech Republic, including the characteristics and regulation of employment. Similarly, there are structured thematic workshops connected with municipal police.
Students who have completed this course will gain detailed knowledge of police law, including obligations and rights of the member of police forces.

Written exam
