Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course European Environmental Law is to introduce the students to the basic overview of protection of environment on the Community level. European environmental law represents one of the most dynamically developing disciplines of the European law. Despite the fact that it is relatively young legal discipline, it contemporarily contains already quite comprehensive set of legal norms, which to great extent influence the legal regime of protection of environment in the EU Member State. Knowledge and orientation in this area represent necessary knowledge foundation of each law student. The content of lectures and seminars covers both general topics (e.g. ecological policy of the EC, sources of European environmental law, institutional issues) and selected specialized topics (e.g. protection of environment and landscape, protection of water, legal regime of waste and packaging). During the lectures and seminars the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice will be examined and analyzed. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge necessary to understand the features of law.

Mark
It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in the exam. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
