Seminar Topics: General characteristic of the area of freedom, security and justice. Schengen acquis Schengen information system. EU as the area without internal borders. Common asylum policy Judicial cooperation in civil matters Organization and functioning of Europol Judicial cooperation in penal matters

Learning outcomes
|
This course follows the general courses of European law and focus on the question of creation and main features of European area of freedom, security and justice with the special attention to the instruments of the asylum law, judicial cooperation and security (police) cooperation on supranational level. Particular part will focus on problems of Schengen area and Schengen acquis.
Students should gain additional knowledge about creation and functioning of common judicial and security area within the EU.

Seminar Work
It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and succeed in the written colloquium.
