Learning outcomes
The course will provide students with an overview of public international law and european law. Students will gain basic knowledge of both areas of law, as well as the knowledge of respective specific German terminology. Taking the complexity of both of these areas of law into consideration, the course will focus on delivering a representative overview. The course is designed for students, who want to gain more and deeper knowledge in the field, resp. who want to prepare for their studies abroad, or for incoming foreign students comming with Erasmus Program. The course will have the form of a lecture; activities supporting improvement of communication skills and further enhancement of students´ vocabulary will be included. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for proper use of relevant German terminology, as well as knowledge and skills necessary for good understanding of basic institutes of international and european law.
Prerequisites
The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

In order to pass the course, students must fulfill tasks assigned to them by the course conveyor, participate actively in the classes, and prepare an in-class presentation. Students are required to work with materials available through LMS EDIS.
