Course content
Forms of law-suit proceedings suits in international commitments Prorogation of the international authority Important institutions occurring in the international arbitration Alternative forms in law-suit judgments The submission, its characteristic, construction and effects Initiating and process of the arbitration proceedings and its legal regime The arbitration award and other processes in arbitration proceedings completion Mutual arbitral structures and state justice Recognition and execution of other decisions

Learning outcomes
The course will provide students with an overview of arbitration. Students will gain basic knowledge of this field of law, as well as the knowledge of respective specific German terminology. The subject focuses on the questions in proceedings of the private legal law-suits in commitments with an international element. It aims at the identification of options in proceedings of law-suits without the classic scope of legal system. The subject focuses on questions in the international authority as well as the international competency and also defines individual forms of law-suits proceedings in practice and introduces students to the basic institutions operating in the field of arbitration in selected countries. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain a basic knowledge of arbitration and learn the proper use of relevant German terminology, and be able to understand the problems of proceedings of law-suits without the classic scope of legal system.
Prerequisites
The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

In order to pass the course, students must fulfill tasks assigned to them by the course conveyor, participate actively in the classes, and work out a case. Students are required to work with materials available through LMS EDIS.
