Learning outcomes
The objective of the course European Judiciary is to deal in detail and in broader connection about the selected questions that originate during the application of Community law at the national and European level. At the Member State's level to these questions belong primarily concrete use of national procedural autonomy, responsibility of state for damages caused by the breach of European law and the conditions of its use. At the Community courts level the course deals primarily with the locus standi of individuals at the Court of First Instance within the selected actions and procedural acts for admission to the Court of Justice. The course expects active participation of the student predominantly in the form of use of the actual jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice and national courts.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and become familiar with the skills useful for understanding and orientation in the topics connected with the judicial process before European courts and necessary for selection of the right judicial forum for application of EC/EU law.
