Learning outcomes
|
The goal of the course to support students in self-reflection and argumentation on legal topics. Not only for future academics, but also for future judges, lawyers and other legal professions, it is necessary to be able to articulate the idea briefly, simply and precisely. Under the leadership of teachers, students can write an encyclopedic article that has exactly that characteristic. The course is intended especially for students who already have some idea of in what area of law they would like to specialize after graduating from the faculty. Within this area, they can devote themselves to the specific subject of this branch, even with the possibility of consulting the subject with academics. Students must submit legal texts to succeed in this course. They will receive detailed feedback that will enable them to further develop their skills. All encyclopedic articles will be published in an open legal encyclopedia Iurium Wiki. Student outputs thus have a use for the application practice.
Students will deepen their knowledge in the legal field of their choosing. They will learn that formulating the idea is often more difficult than it might seem. They will have an opportunity to practice legal writing and apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
To obtain a credit, students must write at least 3 encyclopedic articles on the legal concept from any legal field. These articles must meet standards of scientific text, especially they must be equipped with a citation apparatus. Each of the written articles will be approved by an academic specializing in the legal area concerned.
