Course content
Discussed Topics: 1. Creation of the self-administration in the territory of present-day Czech Republic 2. Patrimonial state administration 3. The upper class state administration 4. Administration under an absolutist state 5. Organization of state (political administration) and self administration from 1848 to 1918 6. Principles and organization of the system of districts in the Czechoslovak Republic 7. Principles and organization of the system of provinces in the territory of the Czechoslovak Republic 8. Public administration in the period of the second republic 9. Protectorate public administration 10. The Constitution of the 9th of May and so-called Kubeš proposal and the public administration 11. Organization of the people's committees in 1945 -1949 period 12. Creating layman lawyers by means of two-year fast course, the public administration 13. Regional system, so-called small and big regions 14. Federalization of the state and the public administration

Learning outcomes
The topics that are going to be discussed will introduce the students to the development of the state administration and self administration in the territory of present-day Czech Republic from the very beginnings, through the middle-ages to the modern age - the protectorate administration, post-war administration and federal administration. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this subject will gain knowledge and skills necessary to form a historical outline of the development of the field they are going to work in.
Prerequisites
Completion of this subject is not conditional upon completion of another subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark

In order to be allowed to take the exam the students must fulfill the requirements set by the teacher during the term. The teaching will be realized by means of lectures/ in the form of lectures. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
