Topics of lectures: Islam and its five pillars Historical evolution of Islamic law Characteristics of Islamic law, Islamic schools of legal thought Sources of Islamic law - primary and secondary Islamic civil and family law Islamic criminal law and fundamentals of financial law Human rights in Islamic society

Learning outcomes
Subject is aimed to familiarize with spiritual, moral, legal and cultural grounds of Islam.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge of spiritual, moral, legal and cultural grounds of Islam.
Prerequisites
Completion of this course is not conditional upon completion of some other courses.

It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must pass the final test.
