The subject falls into the first pillar of the accredited program developing general professional theoretical knowledge of the student. Taking into account the nature of the program, a special emphasis is placed on a high level of the students' knowledge of foreign languages. Students of doctoral study programs must actively work scientifically with foreign sources, and eventually also take part in research internships abroad. The aim of the course is to deepen the student's knowledge of terminology in French. The development of foreign language terminology must be focused directly on the research area of each student, so the course is realized in the form of personal consultations with the teacher, in which the student is required to work with a text in the French language directly related to their research. Emphasis is placed on the correct understanding of foreign language text and the correctness of terminology used by the student.
Eligibility: The aim of the doctoral student is to prove that he / she is able to read fluently and comprehensively the scientific text, to focus on the peculiarities of the professional style and terminology, to follow the expert speech with understanding, to talk about issues related to the field. Communication on specialized legal issues is also required. In addition, the doctoral student must be able to write a written statement (professional curriculum vitae, research plan, resume of his / her doctoral thesis, etc.).
