Course content
The syllabus of the subject is updated at the beginning of the academic year with respect to the special focus of individual students studying the PhD program.

Learning outcomes
The subject will deepen the knowledge of technical legal language acquired during the previous 'magister' course and is supposed to be focused on deepening of the knowledge and skills in the area of technical legal language with a specific focus on the area the PhD student
Eligibility: The aim of the doctoral student is to prove that he / she is able to read fluently and comprehensively the scientific text, to focus on the peculiarities of the professional style and terminology, to follow the expert speech with understanding, to talk about issues related to the field. Communication on specialized legal issues is also required. In addition, the doctoral student must be able to write a written statement (professional curriculum vitae, research plan, resume of his / her doctoral thesis, etc.).
Prerequisites
Postgraduate programme Theoretical Legal Science -language knowledge at the B1 - B2 level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance

1. reading a technical legal language text in a foreign language of about 100 pages (English, French, German) covering the issues studied by the specific students 2. a written summary of the technical text prepared in the extent of about 90 lines (English, French, German) 3. a written glossary of the technical text prepared in the extent of about 30 words and expressions (English, French, German) 4. oral exam - a short talk (in English/French/German) about contents of the text read and about the summary and glossary. A short talk about topic(s) of Ph.D. thesis. This subject is without lectures; needed are consultations with teacher.
