Course content
1. Hablar de gustos y hábitos alimentarios; recursos gramaticales: los pronombres personales de OD, las formas impersonales con se, algunos usos de ser y estar, y/pero/además 2. Alimentos, recetas, pesos y medidas, explicar cómo se prepara un plato 3. Escribir un artículo sobre las cosas más interesante del lugar en que estamos; recursos gramaticales: usos del pretérito perfecto y del indefinido, me/te/le/nos/os/les gustaría + infinitivo, frases exclamativas 4. Hablar de experiencias y valorarlas, valorar personas y cosas, expresar el deseo de hacer algo; parecer, caer bien/mal, pasárselo bien/mal, lugares interesantes y ofertas culturales 5. Buscar soluciones para algunos problemas de nuestros compa?eros; recursos gramaticales: usos de los verbos ser y estar, verbo doler, forma y algunos usos del imperativo afirmativo 6. Dar consejos, hablar de estados de ánimo, describir molestias y síntomas 7. El vandalismo y buscar soluciones para prevenirlo. Partes del cuerpo, estado del ánimo, enfermedades y síntomas 8. Decidir cuál ha sido la época más interesante de la historia; recursos gramaticales: el pretérito imperfecto, ya no/todavía, marcadores temporales para el pasado, marcadores temporales para el presente 9. Hablar de hábitos, costumbres y circunstancias en el pasado, situar acciones en el pasado y en el presente 10. Argumentar y debatir, viajes, periodos históricos, etapas de la vida. 11. Artículos sobre los temas actuales. Hablar de actualidades. 12. Contar anécdotas personales; recursos gramaticales: formas irregulares del pretérito indefinido, el contraste entre el pretérito indefinido y el imperfecto, las formas del pasado de estar + gerundio, marcadores temporales para relatar 13. Acontecimientos históricos, emociones; relatar en el pasado, secuenciar acciones, expresar emociones

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to increase the students' language competence in the given language, to acquaint the students with the basics of the general and also legal language (terminology, stylistics), to teach them how to orientate in Spanish texts and other materials and to introduce the sources of information using text and audio-visual material. At the same time, the course will include selected items from morphology, syntax, word formation and lexicology as a general language course using materials related to legal topics taking into concern the level of language knowledge of the students. The course will use general Spanish language textbooks, audio-visual materials on current world issues related to social affairs, culture, politics and other topics focused on Spanish-speaking countries, as well as materials on the legal terminology and legal system of such countries.
The students will get acquainted with the basic terminology and the characteristics typical for Spanish speaking countries on the background of Czech (or English). Furthermore, they will learn how to work with Spanish texts, audio-visual materials and to process up-to-date information using the news on current events, political and legal systems in Spanish-speaking countries in order to expand their vocabulary, increase their language skills and improve their communication skills.
Prerequisites
The recommended language level for this course is A2 - B1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Written exam

80% attendance, active participation and fulfillment of the assignments set by the teacher for the given seminar, including the final colloquium and mid-term test.
