Course content
Course syllabus: 1.The post-war period 1945-1959. The beginning of the creation of the European Communities. Schumann Plan. Les années d apres-guerre 1945-1959 - histoire de la construction européenne. Plan Schumann 2.The founding treaties of the European Communities, the European Union. 3.Traités fondateurs des Communautés européennes, de l Union européenne. The draft of the European Constitution, the Treaty of Lisbon 4. Projet de la Constitution européenne, Traité de Lisbonne. 5. The citizenship of the EU and its associated rights and duties, the relationship to national citizenship 6. Citoyenneté de l UE - droits et obligations, citoyenneté nationale 7. The functioning and the organization of the EU 8. Fonctionnement de l UE et organisation de l´UE

Learning outcomes
This is a two-semester course. Students have the opportunity to meet, not only with the theory of the law of the EU, but also the current developments within Europe itself, which is necessary for the acquisition of additional language competence. A good knowledge of French is presumed. The course is taught in French.
Students completing this course will gain knowledge and skills in the area of professional legal terminology of European Union through written and spoken texts.

This course is not conditional on completion of any other subject.

Student performance

The participation in seminars within the range set by the teacher and the performance of duties are essential for obtaining the colloquium.
