Learning outcomes
The optional subject is aimed to extending of language and professional competence during the work with the case law of the EJC and with the putting through the legal regulation and arguments to facts of the case and verdict.
Those students who complete this subject will acquire knowledge of technical legal terminology connected with the Law of EU as well as active and passive language skills in the area of authentic texts of the judicial decisions of the European Court of Justice (linguistic analysis of text and its simplification/ linguistic interpretation of legal information based on the text analyzed). The lessons are based on selected parts of rulings related to the specific topics discussed. Students will also deal with language as well as content tasks. The lessons are in German and are supposed to be performed as a workshop.
Prerequisites
The passing of this subject is not conditional upon passing any other subject. Input level of B1-B2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

In order to get the credit it is essential that the students have a regular attendance in the scope set by the seminar leader. The students must also complete the tasks assigned by the teacher and prepare a presentation to a case of the EJC.
