This course is designed to develop legal awareness and explain basic legal concepts to the general public. Through this course, students will review the legal knowledge they have already acquired in various fields and will be able to convey that knowledge clearly to elementary and high school students or participants from nonprofit organizations. For each class, students will prepare a lesson plan, which they will use to teach the class. They will also work throughout the semester to improve their communication and presentation skills. Teaching takes place in primary schools, secondary schools or non-profit organisations in pairs, comprising 8 hours, of which 2 hours are spent observing. A compulsory part of the module is a workshop introducing students to Street Law. The workshop focuses on the skills required for working with pupils; students will also learn how the teaching will be organised and what is expected of them. Students who have already completed this module will be present throughout the workshop to share their valuable experiences.
In this subject, students will link theoretical knowledge already acquired with gaining skills of public presentation, discussion, argumentation, transferring knowledge further - teaching, presenting legal issues in a comprehensible way for laymen, using basics of scientific work; looking up the materials, utilizing it and deducing conclusions from it.
