The course equips pre-service pedagogues with the knowledge and skills necessary to support children with autism spectrum disorders in their future educational practice. The course explores autism through the lens of neurodiversity, emphasizing the strengths, experiences, and diverse needs of autistic individuals across different cultural contexts. Rather than focusing on clinical diagnosis, students will examine communication, participation, and inclusive practices that promote meaningful inclusion in education and society. It adopts a blended learning approach, combining online learning with face-to-face sessions. Through interactive learning and intercultural collaboration, students will develop a deeper understanding of autism and reflect on how inclusive environments can be created in schools, communities, and everyday life.
