Course content
|
1. Speech Therapy as a science. Definition and demarcation of science as a field of study, the status of speech therapy in the science system. 2. Organization of speech therapy. Specifics of speech therapy according to the individual departments, legislative definition, institutional care for people with communication disorders. Speech therapy organizations and companies. Current trends. 3. phylogeny and ontogeny of speech. Phylogeny oral communication. Basic stages of ontogenesis (classification according to individual language levels of communication disorders, chronological development). The critical period of speech development. Options physiological stimulation of speech development. 4. The selected specifically targeted skills. Phonemic differentiation, consonant and syllabic structure analysis and synthesis of words, rhythm reproduction. Terminology, speech diagnostics and interventions selected specifically targeting capabilities. Overlap difficulties in these skills in public speaking, reading and writing. Graphomotorics, graphomotor difficulties of writing and its components, hygiene writing, release of drawing exercises. Speech diagnostics and intervention in graphomotorics. 5. Laterality and communication. Terminological definitions, types and degrees of laterality. Diagnosis of laterality. The secondary consequences of failure to respect the preferences of the left hand. Best practices for working with people preferring the left hand. 6. Disorders of voice. Creating voice, symptoms and classification of voice disorders, with a focus on adolescence, adulthood and old age. Basics diagnosis of voice disorders. Prevention of voice disorders, vocal hygiene and its principles. Interdisciplinary cooperation. 7. Specific language impairment (developmental dysphasia) The types of variations in speech development. Terminology and classification of disturbance of speech development in terms of age. Delayed speech development - Terminology and classification. Impaired development of speech in persons with primary disabilities or illnesses. Symptomatology specific language impairment (developmental dysphasia) in adolescence and adulthood. 8. Mutism Mutism - terminology, classification, etiology, symptoms, basic diagnosis and intervention, prevention and prognosis. Speech negativity logofobie. Comparison with dysphasia and aphasia. 9. Possibilities of speech therapy prevention and education. Types, levels and forms of speech therapy prevention. Current status and prospects, forms of speech therapy education. Specifics due to the different age categories and forms of communication disability.
