Course content
|
The contents of this seminar is to highlight the structure of ethical phenomena (phenomenology of moral), realm of ethical values (axiology of morals) and the freedom of will issue (metaphysics of moral). It is about Man in the age of world stabilization and his respect for life. The role of the seminar of methodology of Civil Ethics Education is to intermediate the quality of ethical thinking to students and to bring them to a point where they themselves feel the need for more complex guidance in issues, which provoke them, and the solution of which is a base for value and success in their lives.

Ethics - its notion and its role. Outline of its historical development. Contemplative and normative ethics. Philosophical ethics. Egotism and altruism. The principle of ethical values. Plato, Kant and Scheler. Eudaimonism and utilitarianism, power and morality, social spect and existentialist attitude.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam
Student elaborates each given and lectured topic on approx 1-2 pages, which also makes a dialogue topic for a colloquium
