Become knowledgeable about systems nature of family functioning, become familiar with models of family functioning. Students should be sensitive to the variability of family functioning and able to interpret data within specific context (cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, spiritual etc.). Introduction to family assessment and diagnostics. Awareness of methodological aspects of family studies, examples of family and parenthood researches.
