Learning outcomes
The Methodology of psychology and pedagogy discipline represents the field of psychology and pedagogy transformed into a teaching subject of psychology and pedagogy at schools, preparing professionals for performing a medical profession. It monitors the development of future teacher's competencies for teaching a given subject. It contributes to the development of expert subject competence by training on the construction of subject contents, with respect to the school standard. A student is guided towards the development of managerial and self-developing competence by means of projecting selected topics of psychology and pedagogy. He/she works with the findings on indicators of outputs from the teaching process (pedagogical diagnostics as a part and the monitoring system of the teaching programme). He/she learns about the significance of personal characteristics of pupils/students for the development of professional skill at a secondary and higher vocational school (a cognitive, affective and psychomotor personality dimension) and their relation to the aim of education and teaching. As a part of the exercise, students apply their findings on didactic principles. They learn about taxonomy of educating and teaching methods, and create type examples for their exercise.
