The aim of the subject is to let students apply knowledge obtained in theoretical subjects and to generalize experience from their pedagogical practice. Students are intended to comprehend the didactical system of primary school mathematics and to grasp general tendencies in the history of teaching mathematics. Based on their understanding of school mathematics curriculum, students will learn to analyze specific topics and concepts of the arithmetical and geometrical component of school mathematics.
