The difficulty of sorting individual skills and knowledge corresponds to the taxonomy according to D. Tollingerová, it aims every semester from simpler knowledge to more demanding thought operations, requiring logical thinking during the involvement and simultaneous development of students' musical skills, respectively. their talent. The ability of harmonic analysis of a musical invoice is potentiated by the skill of musical synthesis, the creation of separate musical sentences and units, limited only by the focus and specific musical talent of the adepts of this demanding discipline.

The theory of harmony, which is extended by the implicit theory of counterpoint, is a musically theoretical discipline with the educational goal of organizing students' musical scientific knowledge, introduces proper nomenclature and symbolism, and effectively deepens knowledge about the systematics of tonal material and operations with it. Basic music theory (musical theory) is logically linked with the own theory of chords and the techniques of connecting them, followed by the theory of counterpoint, i.e. ways of conducting and creating counter-voice, creating chordal and polyphonic composition, creative way of working with musical material based on analytical and synthetic. For this purpose, both the selected literature, basic and recommended, the methodology of working with the given bass functionally tonal harmony, ultimately the acquisition of competences for harmonizing the soprano, working with three-part harmony, melodizing individual voices, and applying the laws of counterpoint are used for this purpose. These theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and competences are a prerequisite for the following master's study subjects, improvisation of piano accompaniments to songs, musical analysis, etc. THE COURSE IS INTENDED ONLY FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS IN THE ERASMUS PROGRAM!!
