Course content
|
Introduction to palliative care, indications and importance in oncological patients, basics of pain management, nutrition and hydration support, rehabilitation. Terminal care, categorization, DNR. Euthanasia. Practical demonstrations of palliative care, participation in a palliative team meeting, practical demonstrations of palliative care - patient visits with a mobile hospice, case reports.

To inform students about the basic principles and methods of palliative care, with the work of the palliative team and with mobile hospice care.
