Course content
The total scope of the course is 25 hours, of which 10 hours are contact and 15 hours are non-contact. Defining the main topics of the subject: - evidence based practice, characteristics, meaning - evidence based practice process - systematic search for available evidence - critical assessment of the evidence found - application of evidence to clinical practice, clinical decision - evaluate the outcome of the evidence implementation

Learning outcomes
The subject is conceived as theoretical-practical and its outputs are usable in all other clinical subjects. It focuses on the development of critical thinking - assessing and addressing the clinical situations of individual patients with regard to available, scientifically substantiated evidence for quality health care. An integral part is the enhancement of knowledge and skills of students in the field of information technologies, electronic databases and in the professional English language.
After completing the course the student is able to: - describe the characteristics and importance of evidence based practice - formulation of a clinical question - systematic search for available evidence - critical assessment of the evidence found - applying evidence to clinical practice - evaluate the results of the implementation of the evidence

Dialog, Seminar Work

Develop and defend a seminar paper on the implementation of evidence based practice in a specific clinical situation.
