Course content
Content - Ergonomics, its concept, definition and purpose - System concept of ergonomics man - machine environment technical and humane principles - System from the anatomical and anthropometric point of view - Physical parameters: dimensional, movement, somatic, energy, capacity of an individual, health condition, physical work - Assessing the individual performance skills - The anthropometric approach and adaptation of machinery and equipment to humans - Parameters of working positions and reach for sitting and standing - The motion area and viewing conditions - Ergonomics and workplace organization, workplace equipment - Activities performed in hospital and household (wheelchair users and their dimensional and spatial solutions of beds, cabinets, kitchens, toilets, work desks, driving, etc. - Standard method used for work risk analysis

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Observation, Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Homework for Teaching - 16 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide the students, considered as the future management and professional staff on all levels, with basic information on how to respect knowledge, skills, abilities and parameters of an individual and his ties to the machine and the environment and how to create optimal conditions for his activities.
Eligibility - development of theoretical knowledge in the field of ergonomics - understanding and respecting the anatomical and anthropometric aspects of an individual in relation to the work environment and his activities - the ability to assess the capacity of an individual (dimensional, motion, somatic, energy) - increasing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the capacity of an individual respecting the gender, age, muscle strength and health - ability to assess working conditions, work environment and equipment to the health of the individual
Prerequisites
Students ought to have fundamental anatomy and physiology.

Student performance, Seminar Work

Requirements 100% participation in lectures, elaboration of a seminar paper on a certain topic in the field of ergonomics.
