Course content
1. System of sport training. Long-term athlete dčvelopment. Sports performance and its structure as a starting point for sports training. 2. Training load as an adaptation stimulus in sports training and its optimization. 3. Training unite (types, structure) as a basic organisation form of the sport training; other organisation forms. 4. Technical preparation in sports training. Sports skills (SD) training (technical training): structure and types of SD as a basis for training; stages of SD acquisition; methodological aspects. 5. Fitness training: characteristics, relation to other components of the training, goals and tasks; training methods. 6. Strength - characteristics, biological foundations, classification, training methodology, specifics of training for youth. 7. Speed - characteristics, biological foundations, classification, training methodology, specifics of training for youth. 8. Endurance - characteristics, biological foundations, classification, training methodology, specifics of training for youth. 9. Flexibility - characteristics, biological foundations, classification, training methodology, specifics of training for youth. 10. Coordination - characteristics, biological foundations, classification, training methodology, specifics of training for youth. 11. Structure of sports training: types of training cycles; periodization of the annual training cycle - training periods. 12. Sports training of youth in the long-term athlete development - characteristics, specifics of the coach's activity, current models. 13. Sports equipment for the implementation of training units, training camps and other basic organizational forms of sports training. 14. Training of persons with disabilities. Amenities (specific aids) and conditions for training people with disabilities.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to broaden the theoretical knowledge base of sports training and its application to acquire the didactic skills important for conducting the training process. Students will also get an overview of the requirements and specifics of the training of athletes with specific needs and the possibilities of equipping sports facilities for the implementation of the training process.
Upon completion of the course the students have the knowledge of sport performance and training process and its control that enable them to: - Analyze the structure of sport performance and recommend an adequate training plan with respect to a specific training stage, training period and training condition of athletes. - With respect to various training components select suitable training methods adapted to the set objectives, developmental specifics, etc. Students will also acquire the basic didactic skills that are essential for conducting the training process.
Prerequisites
The students are expected to demonstrate knowledge acquired in the courses focused on biomedicine and sport training basis.
