Course content
The student suggests a workplace that focuses on working with children with difficulties in the school area, or with socially or otherwise disadvantaged children, and where the teaching staff operates. At the same time, they agree with the local employee, under whose supervision s/he would practice, on the length and general scope of the practice. The minimum length of practice is 40 hours per semester in total. The workplace where it is possible to practice is proposed by the student from among the following institutions: - school counseling workplace - youth home - diagnostic institute - other establishments / institutions / organizations for working with socially or otherwise disadvantaged children. The student submits materials to the lecturer(see Requirements), on the basis of which the lecturer approves the practice. Practice will not be recognized without prior approval. In case that the student gained credit for the course Individual educational-psychological internship 1, it must be a different workplace.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquire basic orientation and practice in prevention of school failure of primary school pupils. Students can gain experience in specialized workplaces working with school age children by coaching or assisting with learning; the minimum duration of the internship is 40 hours.

See instructions in Moodle: There are two options for completing the internship: A) individual tutoring for 10 lessons (i.e. 45 minutes) with a student (ages 6-15). - It should be with a student with learning difficulties, free of charge (no remuneration) B) an internship of 30 hours (i.e. 30 times 60 minutes) in a selected institution: - School Counselling Centre, - special education centre - an educational care centre - a children's home - a diagnostic institute - low threshold facility for work with children - other facilities/institutions/organisations for working with socially or otherwise disadvantaged children Prerequisites for credit: - Tutoring or internship in the selected institution (see above) - Submission of a final reflection (to Moodle) - Uploading (to Moodle) a scan (or photo) of the certificate with signature A) tutoring - signature of the student's legal representative; B) internship at the selected institution - signature of the contact teaching staff member The DEADLINE for submitting the internship deliverables is June 23!
