1st Introduction to the study. Economic principles - introduction. 2nd Man and economics. Economic behavior of consumers. 3rd Costs and demand. 4th Market equilibrium and efficiency. Exchange and specialization. 5th Perfect and imperfect competition. Production factors. 6th Labor market. Free and public goods. Public choice. 7th Domestic product. Creation and use of GDP. 8th Banking system. Aggregate demand. Aggregate supply. 9th Economic cycle. Inflation. 10th Currency market. Balance of payments. 11th State budget. Monetary policy.

The course is basic economics, whose knowledge is necessary for a deeper study of individual economic areas. The default aspect is the fact that economics is a manifestation of human behavior, which is determined by certain principles. In addition to theoretical explanations are discussed and specific examples, focusing on the Czech economic reality and the association between economic theory and economic and political practice.
Prerequisites

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Credit: - Final test (student must correctly answer at least two thirds of questions) - Seminal work on the topic: The current economic problem that interests me, and proposals for its solution. Colloquium: verify theoretical knowledge under the thematic headings of the course.
