|
The course is the integration of development into the geographical, environmental and socio-economic disciplines. Sub-themes: Influence fyzickogeografických, biogeographical, environmental, socio-economic, historical and political factors on development. The main sources, Internet sources and methods of bibliographic citations. Define the main terms. Motivation for development and humanitarian assistance. Ethical dimension of development and humanitarian assistance. Needs of the developing world and target groups. Women, children and development. The distinction between humanitarian and development activities. History of providing development assistance in the CR and the former Czechoslovakia - the main difference. Humanitarian and food aid. Strategy of providing development assistance in OECD countries. International commitments and their (non) performance. Comparison of strategies of providing development assistance in the CR and in the world (EU, Canada, etc.). The main ways of providing development assistance and its regional breakdown. The issue of effectiveness of development assistance and cooperation. Public, private and nonprofit sector in development issues. Analysis of specific development projects and their evaluation.
