1) discussing theoretical approaches to a literary texts (structuralism, marxism, deconstruction, new historicism etc.) 2) analyzing the pre-selected masterpieces of the world literature in the broader social, political, cultural and religious context.

Learning outcomes
|
Based upon the analysis of the text and context of the selected masterpieces of the world literature the seminar will highlight the variety of possible interpretations of a fiction as a historical source.
Students will acquire skills of the course according to sylabus

Prerequisites
|
Students should be familiar with the content of the key literary texts discussed in the seminar. The basic knowledge of literary theories.
