Course content
1. A brief overview of the technical means used to record sound in radio and television (tape recorder, minidisk, PC), the pitfalls associated 2. Preparation reading (spoken) messages, short messages - group presentation 3. Radio news, training and preparation sessions - group presentation 4. Preparation of radio news interview, the selection of the subject - dialogic form of presentation 5. Broadcast journalism, the concept of the show, discussion etc.. 6. Monitoring and evaluation of radio broadcasts 7. Selection of topics and preparation of television news, news programs 8. Preparation of TV journalism, the choice of topic related words and images 9. Monitoring and evaluation of TV programs 10. Editorial work in electronic media (radio and television) and related professions 11. Public presentation of their spoken communication are - in the seminar 12. Monitoring and evaluation of selected radio and television news programs

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with practical knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage the spoken messages, which are realized in journalistic audial media. Course participants learn the basic procedures required for treatment of the subject into a radio news reports, current affairs programs and radio revue. Part of the course is the adjustment of written texts, but also identified issues in spoken form to speaker a moderator or guide the order and control the basic techniques of preparation and implementation of radio spoken messages. Part of the course is in addition to making and presentation of students´ own written texts, agency reports, etc., into spoken form. Attention is also devoted to the preparation and implementation of monologic performances (news) and dialogic forms, talks, discussions etc.
Students will acquire skills of the course according to sylabus.
Prerequisites
Interest in spoken journalism, voice disposition.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Credit: at least 75% participation in seminars + written work of at least 2 pages on a chosen topic in the field of media spoken work. Task must be designed to be workable with minimal narration into a post or a session in the electronic medium. A variant of the work can be spoken communication are recording on the recording medium (tape, minidisc, CD), or group of spoken news broadcast. In the absence of a higher or non ongoing seminar tasks, student develop specific seminal work on the teacher entered a specific topic.
