1st Media Studies (MS), problems with the definition of the subject, relationship to other sciences 2nd history of MS - an overview of basic theories and approaches in MS 3rd Present MS - an overview of basic theories and approaches in MS 4th MK I analyzed in terms of different approaches, basic communication models 5th analysis of MK II - List of basic methodological and analytical approaches 6th analysis of MK III - methods and techniques of research MK 7th MS and their use for the study of journalism 8th MS and intelligence - intelligence as a form of communication, intelligence as a discourse, news as a genre, part narrative intelligence, intelligence from the perspective of political economy / sociology / cultural studies 9th determinants med.obsah (Shoemaker-Reese) 10th - 12 overview of the major theories related to MK (agenda setting, knowledge gaps, spiral of silence, criterion-ria newsworthiness, gatekeeping ...)

The course builds on the course MK1 and is dedicated to a deeper analysis of media communication issues.
