Students gain practical and theoretical knowledge of media studies and is able to apply their learning in practice. Completion of the course / exam is a prerequisite for the successful completion of the field and form part of the final examination before obtaining a degree in media studies (master's degree).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Students will choose one of the offered fields of study (eg. cultural, sociological, philosophical, historical, semiotic-linguistic and methodological) according to attended courses and specialization chosen during the study. Students state their preferences in the application form to SZZK. On the day of the examination, students will draw one question from preffered field and the comittee ask some explicit questions, which the candidate can be expected to answer
